The 2021 kures season organized by the Democratic Union of Turkish-Muslim Tatars in Romania ended on Sunday, 12th of September, with the competition in Constanța. Supported by the City Hall and the Constanța Local Council, the event had all the premises of a high-profile show that combined the identity values of the Tatar community, from sports to arts, a real show of strength, fair play and multiculturalism.
Held in two categories, the competition ended with a premiere: after a straight and spectacular fight that lasted about two hours, the finalists of the „Open” category were both declared winners, donating the prizes at the end and thus proving the practice of this sport with a single purpose: to preserve and promote the identity values of the Dobrogean Tartars. The sports component was happily completed by the artistic one, the large audience, which did not lack personalities of local public life, admiring and applauding the young artists members of the Can-Renkler Ensemble of UDTTMR, Topraisar branch.
Thanks to the involvement of the local administration of Constanta, the event took place in conditions of maximum health safety for both organizers and participants, as well as for spectators.
At the end of this year’s running season, the Democratic Union of Turkish-Muslim Tatars in Romania thanked all those who contributed to the smooth running of these sports in the 2021 season, partners, local governments, competitors and spectators who gave value to sporting events .
